WHY I QUIT BLOGGING

You can still read below each weeks

Be sure to think about how each week fulfills
the claims made about the Book of Mormon by:

Joseph Smith
said: "The Book of Mormon is
the most
correct book on earth
and the keystone of our religion,
and a man would get nearer to God
by abiding its precepts than any other book."
LDS D&C 20:8,9 says: “the Book of Mormon; …
contains the
fulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ…”

Chapter summaries by Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints:
Mosiah 1 King Benjamin teaches his sons the language and prophecies of their fathers—Their religion and civilization have been preserved because of the records kept on the various plates—Mosiah is chosen as king and is given custody of the records and other things. About 130–124 B.C.
Mosiah 2 King Benjamin addresses his people—He recounts the equity, fairness, and spirituality of his reign—He counsels them to serve their Heavenly King—Those who rebel against God will suffer anguish like unquenchable fire. About 124 B.C.
Mosiah 3 King Benjamin continues his address—The Lord Omnipotent will minister among men in a tabernacle of clay—Blood will come from every pore as He atones for the sins of the world—His is the only name whereby salvation comes—Men can put off the natural man and become Saints through the Atonement—The torment of the wicked will be as a lake of fire and brimstone. About 124 B.C.

CFM Week Theme: Filled With Love Towards God And All Men

CFM: Search [the scriptures] diligently
>JNE: It is possible, and common, to search the Scriptures for wrong reasons.
CFM: When I serve others, I am also serving God
>JNE: It is possible, and common, to think or claim I am serving God when in reality I am serving myself.
CFM: I can become a saint through the Atonement of Jesus Christ
>JNE: Is being a "Saint" an achievement or a gift? It cannot be both. If "Saint" is an achievement, I know of no one who deserves to be called one. Yet, surprisingly the Bible calls God's People "Saints."

Looking for TRUTH in "the most correct book on earth"
"the keystone of the LDS Religion"
The Book of Mormon which
"would get a man nearer to God than any other book."

- Mosiah 3 "And thus saith the Lord: They shall stand as a bright testimony against this people, at the judgement day; whereof, they shall be judged, every man, according to his works, whether they be good, or whether they be evil; and if they be evil, they are consigned to an awful view of their own guilt and abominations, which doth cause them to shrink from the presence of the Lord, into a state of misery and endless torment, from whence they can no more return; therefore, they have drunk damnation to their own souls.— Therefore, they have drunk out of the cup of the wrath of God, which justice could no more deny unto them, than it could deny that Adam should fall, because of his partaking of the forbidden fruit ; therefore, mercy could have a claim on them no more forever. And their torment is as a lake of fire and brim- stone, whose flames are unquenchable, and whose smoke ascendeth up forever and ever. Thus hath the Lord commanded me. Amen."
? So, there are only "good or evil" people in the judgment, and the "good" are those who have been faithful LDS. The Book of Mormon says here in Mosiah 3 that the for the "evil," "mercy could have a claim on them no more forever. And their torment is as a lake of fire...," how can being baptized for them by proxy have any value? Unless modern revelations freely cancel out previous revelations like this one which originated with "Thus saith the Lord."
? Does this clear contradiction matter? LDS Church authorities seem to say it doesn't?
? Is one of the ways LDS are considered "good," being baptized for dead people whose eternal destiny is already determined by their own evil behaviors toward God?
The Bible says that "today" is the day of salvation, and that by "faith in Christ Jesus," not by "good works."

Looking in these chapters of The Book of Mormon for "The Fullness of the Gospel" "The Restored Gospel" of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints
i.e.: The GOSPEL? ... The PLAN OF SALVATION? ... The CHURCH? ... TEMPLES? ... KINGDOMS OF GLORY? ... The GODHEAD?
>>> What It Means To Be A Saint

- None of this description of becoming saints is "fully" described in the Book of Mormon. There may be words that are considered "full" explanations when read in the context of modern LDS descriptions. But to the honest reader there is no "fullness" of the LDS Gospel in the Book of Mormon. If there ever was a real Nephi, he would not recognize the modern Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
>>> King Benjamin was "teaching" in the Temple / people "offering sacrifices and burnt offerings" in the Temple - no mention of weddings, sealings, endowments, baptisms etc.
